Fishing / Angling

Local resident Jon Bissett’s recommendation: Spoilt for choice round here, Parkview, Fortsprings, Goldenloch and Newton are all great put and take fisheries, if you are after wild brownies Clatto and Cameron reservoirs are good and if you like the rivers the Eden and Leven have some great beats for brownies and sea trout. If you want to go a little further afield there’s Loch Leven which is literally world class fishing.

R . Dott Thomsons in Cupar sells permits to fish the River Eden. https://www.facebook.com/R.DottThomson/

Transportation

As a rural location we are served by the “Flexi-Bus” which operates like a taxi, with prior booking required, but only charges the cost of a bus fare.

For Go-Flexi bookings, phone at least 1 hour before travelling: (01382) 540 624

More information about the flexi bus can be found on the website at:  https://www.go-flexi.org/

There is also a standard bus stop at the top of the hill outside Chance Inn village. On the A916. 0.9 miles from The Rings

There are no footpaths on the road from A916 through Chance Inn and up to The Rings, however the road is a peaceful rural Q road and there are many people who walk, cycle or horse ride along it, so local drivers are aware to drive with care.
